Archie was 7 months old when he was diagnosed with Wilms’ tumor, a type of kidney cancer. He endured a nearly 12-hour surgery to remove the tumor and one of his kidneys and he spent nearly a week in the pediatric ICU at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. Over the course of eight months, Archie had eight radiation treatments, 15 chemotherapy treatments and many other tests and hospital visits to track his health.

In late March 2017, Archie was given a clean bill of health and his ongoing cancer treatment ended. Doctors will keep close tabs on him for the rest of his life but survival rates for Wilms’ tumor are extremely high and his future looks bright! He’s walking, babbling and eating nearly everything in sight. Archie’s family is grateful to Paige’s Butterfly Run and and all its supporters for their help during what was a very difficult time. The Archie’s Orange Army team is excited to participate in this year’s race
